Share

Seniors from The Village of Winston Park will be sharing their wisdom and knowledge from the signature green #ElderWisdom benches during the Cambridge Newcomer Day festivities.

Cambridge Newcomer Day
September 17, 2019 | 3:00-8:00p.m.
Cambridge City Hall
(50 Dickson St., Cambridge)

Newcomer Day is a special event that recognizes and celebrates the newcomers, immigrants, and refugees who call Cambridge home. Several Ontario cities have previously held Newcomer Days, but this will be the first time Cambridge has done so. In the afternoon, the Institute for Canadian Citizenship will host an enhanced citizenship ceremony with 40-50 candidates for citizenship. The public is welcome to join us at 3:00p.m. for the formal proceedings and reception. The celebration continues into the early evening with a community festival featuring an information fair, recreation exhibition, local performers, food vendors, and fun activities for the whole family.
